How to own Japanese sword

When you buy Japanese sword, many people worry if we need any police permits or shall be investigated unexpectedly, but when you buy them through authorized sword shops, it will be no problem at all.

Each sword is carrying its unique registration certificate. With it, it is not necessary to submit any application or registration to police but you can own, carry, give, buy and sell freely.

Owning Japanese sword is notification only process not permission basis.

Even police officers sometimes misunderstand. You can just send a postcard to Board of Educationin your residential area only. No inquiries or questions from them will be made.

Board of Education will recordyour ownership or change and done. That’s all.

Basically none cannot own Japanese sword without registration certificate.

If you own or have non-registered one, you will violate control law of firearms and swords No.14 code and will be punished.
